What is Digimon Universe: Applimonsters?

This article confirms that a brand new Digimon TV Anime series: "Digimon Universe: Appli(App)monsters" will air on TV in Autumn 2016.
Key to the story takes place in the current world where everyone uses "Smartphone app".
The "Apps" are life forms incorporated with artificial intelligence AI.
The "App monsters", AKA "Appmon" are residents inside.
The numbers of Appmons are limited to the numbers of apps on the smartphone.
This is continuation of the Digimon series with the "charm" of a bit further in the early future.
The big new topic of this new series is the battle with "Artificial intelligence", surrounded with the great active of "Appmon"! (I can't think of a better English phrase lol)

For Odaiba day celebration this year, DAF(Digimon Adventure Festival) 2016 will take place on July 31st in Hachioji Olympic hall. (I believe it's because August 1st is a Monday this year)

Guests list as follow:
Like previous Odaiba day events, the MC will be Chiaki Matsuzawa, along with all of voice actors from Tri (all 9 children and Digimon), as well as AiM and Miyazaki Ayumu.


Also this month's magazine seems to be all feature movie info on Chapter 3.
Animedia will have another illustrations by Kuwahara Sōta, and a few new pin up visual.

3DS Game "Applimonsters Cyber Arena" to be released in Japan later in 2016!

This informational trailer about the Appli Drive [Digivice] and Appmon chips also revealed that a new 3DS game will be released later this year in Japan! [Skip to 3 minutes into the video to see this segment]. The Appmon chips work with the 3DS game via QR codes. No info on any other region release.
The video also explains modes of combining that are used in the Appli Drive;
-App-Link: Involves two Appmon combining by linking their tails/cords together to power-up. The example shows Gatchamon and Dokamon using this technique to become "Gatchamon Plus Dokamon"
-App-Gattai: Involves two Appmon combining together to create a new and stronger form. The example shows Gatchamon and Dokamon becoming "DoGatchamon"

Meicoomon's perfect form and name revealed.

Meicoomon's evolution was revealed in the end of chapter 2 Ketsui.
Followed by today's new release of new DLC for Next Order, the name of the new evolution is メイクラックモン/Meikurakkumon  (wikimon says it's "Meicrackmon".)
The only thing that's revealed is the attack "Beresk Thinking", and it can evolve to Mastemon or Ophanimon.
Everything else is still unknown on the data base.

The new female protagonist for Applimonster is name:
Karan Eri( CV: Umeka Shoji).
14 years old, grade 8.
She's a member of an idol group.
She's good at sport, and seems to be very lively.
Although she looks pretty strong, but she's actually very kind and even cries when she feels lonely.
Her partner Appmon is Dokamon.

Dokamon (CV: Kumai Motoko)
Eri's partner Appmon with the power of kindness.
He's an Appmon from an action game app.
He loves Eri and respects Gatchamon by addressing him "Aniki".

As for tri news, advance screening for Chapter 3 Kokuhaku  is annouced for August. More details as well as guest lists will annouced on the site.

English-Voiced Dub confirmed for Digimon Adventure tri: Reunion

After a poster with a westernized tri movie logo was briefly seen Las Vegas' 2016 Licensing Expo, various news outlets are now reporting ELEVEN ARTS is working with Toei Animation to create an English dubbed version of Digimon Adventure tri.

"Digimon Adventure tri. Chapter 1: REUNION" will receive a special one-day theatrical feature by Fathom Events at select locations in the United States on Thursday September 15th, 2016. Tickets go on sale Friday July 29th on Fathom Events' website.
Further locations and dates within the US will be confirmed for October 2016.
International theatrical showings and specifications on disk release(s) have not yet been confirmed.

AX 2016 report

It's been a great AX this year, specially alot more digimon merch and multiple offical company booths features digimon products :)

These pictures and videos are taken by me and my partner. 
I do apologize in advance that I'm not very good at taking videos lol
Some of you may have seem me, I was in the AA and one of my product was a fanbook. Here are your hints :)


Great digimon cosplay features Omegamon, Magmamon, Alphamon and Wargreymon!



This year, the Toei offical booth features Tri at the back and also an English Trailer of the up-coming release of Tri film in theater on September 15th. 




Here's a video of what the toei Digimon booths looks like: (More like it's difficult to take the full pic when there's lots of people standing in front of it taking pictures)



They were also giving out post cards, which I took a few for friends.


Also unrelated, but This Goku's hair is growing blue, they are promoting Dragonball Super. (I don't think it was in the Toei booth, But it is an official cosplayer.)
I mean who doesn't like DBZ? XD

SHF figures are being shown in the Bluefin booth, along with other Gundam and Dragonball figures








At the very back, there's a Mega House booth displays the Digimon G.E.M Series figures. No Angelwomon though... you all know the drama.

Asuka Torajirou (CV:Shiho Kokido)
11 year old, Fifth Grade.
A free-spirit guy who goes with any flow. Even in all of his decisions. He's a popular on apptuber on an online site "Apptube, with the name "Astra."
His home runs a teashop. Although he's raised in a strict family, he stills takes care of the emotions and freedom. His partner is Musicmon.

Musicmon (CV: Tamura Nao):
Torajirou's partner. With the ability of music app. He has the same personality as Torajiro who's also free-spirit. 

Katsura Rei (CV: Toshiyuki Toyonaga): 
14 year old, and second year junior high school student.
A mysterious teen who's after Haru. A very talented hacker.
He might know things about the evil final boss artificial intelligent.
His partner is Hackmon.

Hackmon (CV: Daisuke Sakaguchi):
Rei's partner digimon, with the ability of hacking.
